Looking to connect with anyone researching the GRANDSTAFF family in Morrow Co. I know most Grandstaff researchers have the Grandstaff/Grindstaff family book, but my line has been incorrectly reported in this volume. My ggg-grandfather, William N. (H. in the book), son of Moses and Amanda Bowers Grandstaff was born in Morrow Co., July 1844, moved to Licking Co. in 1850 and then settled in Delaware Co. after his marriage in 1867 to Hester Grandstaff (his cousin), daughter of Lewis and Lavinia Taylor Grandstaff. (This is where the info is mistaken in book). Both Wm. and Hester died in Crawford Co. Write me if you'd like to share info. clnholly@aol.com

Isaac HICKSON's obituary in a 1943 issue of The Star (Marion,OH newspaper), lists William Denton as his half-brother. I'm almost positive William is my great grandfather, James William DENTON, since the clipping was in with his daughter's keepsakes. I'd like to find out more about Isaac. He was born in Lincolnshire England, ca. 1856 and came to the US when he was about 10. If he's who I think he is, his mother's name was Mary HICKS DENTON. William DENTON was Mary's second husband and James William's father. (I suppose she could have had other husbands..) Isaac's obituary lists one sister, along with my grgrandfather. Also, in an earlier query I wasn't sure about where exactly my grgrandfather DENTON was born. I now know he was born in Bardney, Lincolnshire, UK. Thanks for any help.
